Is it worth putting the time and effort into drawing this? I love the dress, it is absolutely gorgeous (an 1838 American dress) the bodice is so cute. I am a sucker for bows and pleats. I think I'm in love but can I be bothered? maybe tomorrow, anyway, for now, enjoy the pretty dress

I absolutely LOVE this dress! it is absolutely gorgeous. I have drawn it (with difficulty. damn that lace!) but I just love the pattern. it is an American 1860's ball gown. These pictures are from The Metropolitan Museum od Modern Art (MOMA)

Heey there. this is my blog on costumes. I am putting this up mainly because I spend A LOT of time looking up costumes on the internet (check out my other blog The Paper Peoples Wardrobe if you want to know why. I also just love to look at costumes... and draw them... so, yeah... I am going to give you a new costume every day. most of them will probably be coming from the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art- The Costume institute and they will all appear (in paper doll versions) on my other blog.
